Bandon Crossings G.C.

Heathland golf courses are among the most prized courses in Great Britain, and Bandon Crossings is considered the best example of heathland golf in the entire United States. Heathland courses are built on old sand dunes so they have good drainage. Because they are near, but not on the ocean, they have better weather with less wind. Heathland courses can also grow hardier grasses, which allows Bandon Crossings to offer power carts (or “buggies” for our British cousins).

Bandon Crossings was sculpted mostly by nature, and fine-tuned by architect Dan Hixson. The rumpled nature of sand dunes dictates the course’s flow. The crossings of several mini canyons and rivulets gave the course its name, and its corrals show its history as a sheep ranch. All of this led to Bandon Crossings being named one of the Top 10 New Courses of 2007 by GOLF Magazine.

It offers more than just 18 holes—it’s home to 18 Unique Experiences.

Ten years after opening, Bandon Crossings has added a new golf shop and the Cypress Room Event Center. The stunning facility has expanded Bandon Crossing’s ability to host larger golf tournaments, weddings and other special events in style while boasting lovely views of the golf course and lower wetland valley.

Enjoy Bandon and all it offers for more than just a day. Choose form a variety of Stay and Play options at partner hotels or enjoy the comfort of Bandon Vistas vacation rental homes. From the exciting heathland golf to the exquisite beaches and walking paths, you will most definitely enjoy your time in Bandon.
